CRC-P Project Statement

Next Harbour Pty Ltd is proud to be a recipient of a competitive grant from the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR) under the Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) program.

We are equally proud to co-fund and invest in delivering technology that supports the “Renewables and Low Emission Technologies” priority, working closely with our research and industry partners to accelerate Australia’s transition to sustainable offshore energy solutions.

Project Title: Holistic Economical Offshore Wind Turbine Solution for Australia

CRC-P Vision & Mission

Vision: To develop an innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly approach to wind turbine installation (suction bucket), enabling the widespread adoption of offshore wind energy in Australia.

Mission: To implement a fully integrated offshore wind turbine installation system.

The suction system will streamline:

  • The assembly process by prefabricating entire wind turbines onshoren
  • Utilise floating transport technology for efficient relocation
  • Use installation methods that eliminate the need for heavy lifting vessels.

Cuts overall capital costs by an estimated 20–30%.
